Robotic Chef Coming to Florida’s AI-Powered Gas Station

The Wingman robot will be serving up chicken wings, fries and more

Re-Up, a tech-savvy convenience store chain, plans to install a robotic cook at its AI-powered location in Melbourne, Florida.

IoT World Today reports that the bot’s developer, Nala Robotics, calls the Wingman robot the “world’s first fully automated robotic chef.” The robot is said to utilize AI and sensor technology in its food-preparing efforts.

In a video originally posted by Nala Robotics on Vimeo, the Wingman can be seen frying chicken wings and serving them to customers.

“The Wingman doesn’t get sick, can work around the clock and can cook any dish efficiently all the time, improving on quality and saving on labor costs,” said Nala Robotics CEO Ajay Sunkara.

Re-Up said it hopes utilizing this new technology will “enable faster service, reduced wait times, and enhanced food quality, improving the overall customer experience.”

“The integration of robotics kitchens stands as a pivotal strategy in our modernization initiative, enabling us to enhance operational efficiency and deliver seamless services while upholding unwavering quality standards around the clock,” said Re-Up president Narendra Manney.
